Updating to 3.1

Downloading the files
 | Back up your site first Make sure to back up your entire site before starting the update! Failing to do this could cause you to lose all of your changes and members. Be sure to back up all of the files/folders, as well as the database. |
- Log into the members area.
- Click on View Downloads.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page. You should see a section called Your Updates.
- Type in the complete URL to your webJobs administrative area (smartway). Make sure to include the trailing "/" at the end of the URL. Click Submit.
- A download for the update will appear. Download this to your local computer
- Upload the files to your server overwriting the originals, and follow the rest of the update guide to finish up.
Make sure you upload files in BINARY mode. If you upload in ASCII mode instead, you will get errors.
Running the update
To update your database for 3.0 compatibility go to http://www.yourdomain.com/update.php (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name). That's it! You're now up to date.
Updating your plugins
The following plugins were updated in 3.1: Bulk Posting, Zip Code Locator, and Resume Wizard. You will need to redownload the plugins from the members area and upload the contents of the zip files to your site. You do not need to run the installers or any update scripts for these.
Some notes
The new version has had changes in the PHP and HTML code. If you have made changes to the template files, you will need to merge those into the new update.
