This guide shows you how to permanently delete your job seeker account and what happens to your data. It takes about a minute.

Who this is for: Job seekers who want to remove their account and data from the career center.


Quick answer

While signed in, go to Settings tab (in My Account). Scroll to Account Removal, then click Delete Account. Confirm when prompted. Your account and data are removed immediately; you're signed out and sent to the homepage.


Step-by-step

  1. Sign in to the career center as a job seeker.
  2. Open My AccountSettings (tab).
  3. Scroll to the Account Removal section (it's at the bottom, in a red/danger-style box).
  4. Click Delete Account.
  5. When the confirmation appears ("Are you sure you want to delete your account? This is immediate and permanent."), confirm if you're sure.
  6. Your account is deleted. You're signed out and redirected to the homepage.

What gets deleted

Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no undo and no way to recover the account or data.
