To start, log in to your SmartWay admin.
Creating a playbook begins with naming it and adding a description to set up your custom workflow. Next, select the trigger—when the playbook runs—and the model type—what it applies to. Add optional conditions to narrow its focus if needed. Finally, choose the actions to perform, review everything, and save your playbook.

Go to the Playbooks page in your admin

Click the ”New Playbook” button

Fill in all the required fields (marked with *) in the form:

Click each section name below to navigate to its detailed description:
Once you provide all details, the Create Playbook button will appear. Click it to save the changes.
If something required is still missing, the button reads Save as Draft instead. A draft only needs a name, so you can park an unfinished playbook and come back to it. Drafts stay switched off until you finish setting them up, and they carry a grey Draft badge in your list.

As soon as you press Create Playbook, the new automation will appear under Your Playbooks tab:

Should you decide to adjust a playbook, just hit Edit and proceed with the changes.
Each saved playbook also has a Performance button below Edit. It shows how many times the playbook has run, what succeeded, what failed, and who each email went to. See How to check whether a playbook is working
The variables in further steps may change based on your selections in the following sections. The feature's logic is designed to simplify playbook creation by only showing available and logical options in the settings.
